How We Built the Website for OPG Vrabec
For OPG Vrabec — a family-run riverside retreat on the Kupa — we built a modern multilingual website aimed at attracting both local and international guests to rural tourism. Available in four languages (Croatian, German, English, and French), the website presents the farm's offer, from river adventures to homemade food, while integrated Google reviews instantly show new guests the experiences of those who have already visited. The project covered everything from the logo and design to SEO optimization.
The Challenge: How to Reach Guests from Croatia and Abroad
In tourism, the decision to visit is made in a matter of seconds, usually on a phone and often in a foreign language. In that situation, a website isn't just "nice to have", it's the main channel for attracting guests. At the same time, the site has to inspire trust at first glance: within seconds, a guest needs to see what the retreat looks like and what the offer includes, and most importantly, be able to get in touch right away, without any hassle.
A particular challenge was reaching German, Austrian, and French guests, who make up a growing share of visitors to continental Croatia. This required a website in four languages with localized content, not just machine translation. We also took care of details like a separate WhatsApp contact for guests from German-speaking countries.
The Solution: A Modern Multilingual Website
For OPG Vrabec, we delivered:
- Web design — a modern, well-organized website adapted to mobile devices, with an emphasis on photos of the retreat and the Kupa River, and a clear call to get in touch
- Logo design — a recognizable visual identity that reflects the farm's tradition and natural surroundings
- Multilingual support — the website is available in four languages (Croatian, German, English, and French), with localized details such as a separate WhatsApp contact for guests from German-speaking countries
- Google reviews — reviews from the Google Business Profile integrated directly into the website, so new guests can instantly see the experiences of those who have already visited
- Copywriting — in collaboration with the client, we created texts that tell the story of the family farm and encourage guests to visit
- SEO optimization — structure and content set up so that guests searching for offers on Google can find the retreat
- Hosting and technical support — a complete setup, from domain and hosting to security settings and speed optimization

Why a Website Is Essential for Family Farms and Rural Tourism
Today, guests look for countryside retreats and family farms on Google first — by destination and type of experience. To them, a family farm without a modern website practically doesn't exist, because a guest can't see what the property looks like, what the offer includes, or how to get in touch. A good tourism website answers those questions and guides the guest toward an inquiry before they even call. Quality photos, a clearly presented offer, and the ability to make contact in multiple languages turn a visitor into a guest — while Google reviews on the website build trust and work for you, 24 hours a day, including for guests from abroad. For family farms expanding into tourism, a website is the fastest route to their first guests, and multilingual support opens the door to German, Austrian, and French visitors who are only just discovering continental Croatia.
